In the context of the information technologyboom in the world, China’s surveying and mapping administrative departments haveidentified the core and most difficult contend-construction of geographic informationinfrastructure framework(short for GIIF), and started pilot work in all around thecountry. In the process of municipal data of urban construction in China, due to poorfundamental conditions, more city only completed basic geographic data collection anddatabase building, in the process of city geographic information public service platformconstruction, data processing, database and service standards are not unified, there is noformation of the system. In addition to the platform to promote the application level isrelatively shallow and narrow, can not adapt to the modern city management needs. This thesis based on the pilot cities’ construction mode. Takes Xuzhou’s constructionas an example, the main contend such as data organization, processing, software, hardware, network and database building of frame construction were discussed.According to the urgent geographic information needs of the information technologiesand economic development in Xuzhou city, combing with the construction standards inGIIF, based on research, analysis, pilot and applications, summed up the different levelsof user application mode, the design and implement of the project provides a certainreference for city-level digital city geographic information public service platformconstruction and application.
