| Titanium resources are very rich and very broad distribution, almost all over the world. At present, titanium minerals which contain of TiO2more than1%are over140kinds. But at this stage, there are only a few minerals of the value in use, mainly rutile and ilmenite, followed by the leucoxene and anatase. There are two categories which is titanium ores and placer bed valuably to mine. Mineral resources of Titanium is very rich in China, however the natural rutile with high-grade and less impurity is seldom, is mainly the titanium sand ore, vanadium and titanium magnetite Etc.Titanium sand ore was weatheringed in the forming process, some soluble components were dissoluted, but also attached a number of precious minerals, often symbiosis with zircon and monazite. These minerals are characterized by the higher contents of Fe2O3, mineral structure is looser, gangue contents are less, TiO2will be separated easily with other ingredients by beneficiation methods. Therefore, the utilization ratio of titanium sand ore is relatively higher.Yunnan Metallurgical Group Co. will construct a titanium industrial base, titanium slag is one of the Titanium industry projects, and so the supply of raw materials is an urgent requirement. But, because of equipmentã€fundsã€actual strength of science and technology is backward, resulting in a lower level of comprehensive utilization of titanium resources. Therefore, in order to make better use of the resources, we summarize the domestic and foreign titanium resources comprehensive utilization technology, thorough research and to optimize titanium beneficiation process route, strengthening the comprehensive utilization of tailings. Above these to our country titanium industry development has great real significance and good economic benefitsIn this paper, the selected plant tailings in Yunnan mineral processing plant was taken as the research object. Sample to reclaim the titanium resource and at the same time, to enrich iron. Based on the study on process mineralogy of sample ore, we can know the ore grade is28.29%in TiO2, Fe grade25.77%. Minerals are mainly titanium iron ore, limonite, goethite and gangue minerals, and so on. After the research, the mineral belongs to the weak magnetic and non-magnetic minerals, and mineral density is relatively significant differences. So, if we want to reclaim titanium resources of tailing, it is need to adopt gravity, high gradient magnetic separation, flotation, or combined process.With the rough titanium concentrate’s magnetic separation testsã€gravity separation testsã€flotation separation testsã€Strong magnetic roughing-strong magnetic selection, high intensity magnetic-Classification gravity separation combined process and the high intensity magnetic separation-flotation combined process have been carried out and the combined gravity-magnetic process flow is adopted finally. This flow is not only economical and rational, but also meet the basic requirements of modern production.By using the combined high intensity magnetic separation-flotation separation process, this study obtained the final titanium concentrate of TiO2ã€47.82%and the recovery reached up to74.71%,the index is good. |
