Strip is one of the important iron and steel products, it is related to national defense and national economic construction. It is an important part of the steel products, the thickness precision is an important quality indicator of strip.With the economic development, the demand for quality of the plate and strip is increasingly high, strip thickness control system is a complex multi-variable system, the traditional automatic gauge control (AGC) technology can meet the basic requirements of the thickness precision, but there are some shortcomings, in order to obtain the thickness products, we need to study the high-precision technology of automatic gauge control.This paper combined with hydraulic AGC system of the steel company600mm nine rack strip hot rolling mill, on the basis of the study on basic theory of thickness control, analyze the reason of the thickness fluctuations and thickness control method,and according to the600mm parameter of hot rolling mill equipment and rolling processing, use the Φ function method to obtain the rolling reduction, and design the program of automatic gauge control of600mm nine rack hot strip rolling mill, and establish the mathematical model of the automatic gauge control system. Including the calculation model of rolling reduction, the mathematical model of DAGC, rolling plastic-coefficient calculation model, the mathematical model of monitoring AGC, and establish the mathematical model of Mass flow AGC by studying the theory of continuous rolling tension. Mass flow AGC is used in nine rack narrow strip hot mill, it can be used the angle of looper and the roll gap of the closed-loop method, it reduces the requirements of the equipment. In the text give its specific implementation method. System of hot continuous rolling gauge control system structure was designed, and Siemens SIMATIC TDC control system is used;and the HMI screen of computer secondary control system is designed.The practical application proved that effect of DAGC,MN-AGC and MF-AGC composite control system is obvious, strip thickness deviation can be controlled within±30μm.The research results and actual control method in the paper are useful to the automatic gauge control system of hot strip mill.They are practical and can be applied in similar project.
