The object of this article is to analyze the application of measurement system analysis (MSA) in Refueling Detective System.In this article,the background and significance of this test, the basic theory of measurement uncertainty and measurement system analysis (MSA),as well as their history, situation, limitation and prospect were described briefly.3operators undertook petrol machine’s repeatability test and obtained uncertainty data according to standard A and B criteria. Measurement system analysis was employed to test the stability, bias, linearity, repeatability and reproducibility. The system was improved according to the result and tested again.The3uncertainty data showed that twice were qualified and1disqualified. The measurement system analysis confirmed that the measurement system was disqualified. The stability, bias and linearity were acceptable, but repeatability and reproducibility were unacceptable. The variation of two factors occupied38.81%of total variation (>30%), in which37.73%was repeatability variation, which was led by operator factor and became the major cause of the unacceptability of repeatability and reproducibility. After improving the operator factor, the repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement system were confirmed acceptable.After discussion, we concluded that measurement system analysis could reflect the influence of each factor on the measurement system.
