In this paper, the thermal processing of the key material316LN stainlesssteel of the nuclear power pipeline has been researched, and the microstructureevolution of the original cast structure in the forging process is obtained, whichprovide a reference for the production, optimize the process, shorten theproduction cycle of the material, save the resources.The most important type of the defect obtained in the original cast structureis the segregation with the metallographic analysis, which is more obvious andserious in the presence of micro-segregation, in addition to inclusions, shrinkage,bubbles, etc. And by the solid solution treatment to repair the defect, the castdefects are eliminated in a certain extent by extending the holding time at1100°C, especially the segregation repair effect is obvious.The recrystallization phenomenon of the material in the thermaldeformation process is analyzed, and the distribution of the recrystallization isobtained, as well as the changes the amount of deformation recrystallizationwith temperature.The thermal compression of the original cast material is tested at atemperature of1000℃-1200℃, and the microstructure evolution during hotdeformation is analyzed, and find that the deformation has the small affect inmaterial improvement on segregation defects, in the process of thermaldeformation, the matrix structure of the material also appears a lot of the ferritecomponent, which is the result of the ferrite incompletely dissolved in thesolution-treated ferrite deformation in the deformation process. Orientation ofcrystal grains in the material deformation is observed by XRD analysis, and findthe anisotropic of the material is not obvious in a large amount of deformation,under low temperature conditions, and forgings has the better forgingperformance.Through a variety of organizations microscopic analysis, the bettersingle-pass forging products of the small amount of deformation are gotten at1100°C, a large amount of deformation process conditions during the forging process.
