Supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, preexcitationsyndrome, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, etc all belong to fast rhythmof the cardiac arrhythmia, which is a kind of the most common of cardiacarrhythmia, and its clinical characteristics are extremely similar to theTraditional Chinese medicine "palpitations". Western medicine anti-arrhythmicdrug evidence-based medicine is rich, curative effect is exact, and but havemany side effects such as proarrthymia, etc, and compliance is poor, such asthe means of intervention like radiofrequency catheter ablation’s technologyremains to be further improved. In Traditional Chinese medicine its etiologyand pathogenesis and various kinds of treatment methods have a clear statementand application, Professor Zhang adherings to the classical theory ofTraditional Chinese medicine, and has clinical decades, put forward mainly"theview of heart dominating mental activities",combing five internal organsdialectical to treat fast rhythm of the cardiac arrhythmia, and expound it fromtwo sides of "heart being in charge of blood and vessels"and"heart housing themind".According to the relationship of both inter-promotion and inter-restraintbetween other four internal organs and heart, she believes that liver, spleen, lung, kidney disorders all can affect "heart being in charge of blood andvessels"and "heart housing the mind",mental activities disorders lead topalpitation. On the basis of this theory for differential diagnosis andtreatment, she combines regulating four internal organs, and emphaticallyrestores the function of "heart being in charge of blood and vessels"and "hearthousing the mind",gives full play to the advantages in treating fast rhythm ofthe cardiac arrhythmia, achieves significant results.
