| Combined with on the basis of relevant research, this study investigated the relationship among emotional intelligence, social support, coping style and life satisfaction of senior middle students. In this study,369senior middle school students were investigated with Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Perceived Social Support Scale, Short Coping Style Scale, and Adolescent Students Life Satisfaction Scale. The results show as the following:1. The degree of global life satisfaction of senior middle school students are on the medium level. Life satisfaction showed significant difference in gender and grades.2. Emotional intelligence in senior middle school students was well developed. And scores in the use of emotion were the highest, which indicated the dimension was best developed. Emotional intelligence showed significant difference in gender, but not in grades.3. Senior middle school students’social support comes from many resources, the social support system is great, and the social support showed significant difference in gender and grades.4. Compared to negative coping style, senior middle school students are inclined to take positive coping style, indicating that their coping strategies gradually become mature, and coping style showed significant difference in gender and grades.5. Negative coping has negative correlation with other variables, while emotional intelligence, social support, positive coping and life satisfaction and its six factors have positive correlation with each other.6. Regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence can significantly predict social support, positive coping, negative coping and life satisfaction; while social support, positive coping and negative coping could significantly predict life satisfaction.7. Path analysis showed that emotional intelligence has no insignificant direct effect on life satisfaction, but has indirect impact on life satisfaction through the two variables--social support and coping styles; social support and coping styles play a dual intermediary role. |
