In recent years, prospective memory has become a hot spot in the field of memory research.The relationship of cognitive processing mechanism, effect of age, personality and emotion withprospective memory has been studied for years. In the field of emotion, the present studies haveexplored the impact of anxiety, depression and other negative emotions, or pleasant, positiveemotions on prospective memory, but only a few about the research of mood congruent effect ofprospective memory.In previous research of―mood congruent effect" of recall memory, the research model isgenerally as follows: induced mood---presents the material consistent or inconsistent withemotional memory---recognition or recall. Prospective memory is characterized by "dual task" atthe same time, which is more complex to investigate the emotional consistency. According to thecharacteristics of dual-task, the study divided into two aspects. First, the mood congruent effect ofdual-task (prospective memory tasks and ongoing tasks, Experiment1); Second, the moodcongruent effect between the previous emotion and prospective memory (Experiment2). Thematerial of mood induction is words (Experiment1)and videos(Experiment2).The result is nomood congruent effect between prospective memory tasks and ongoing tasks, which indicatesprospective memory and retrospective memory has different processing mechanism; Theemotional background and prospective memory has no mood congruent effect, instead, the effectis opposite, there is a kind of balance relations between prospective tasks and ongoing tasks, andthe results support the view of multi-processing model.The positive emotions as a background in this study, the study of―mood congruent effect" ofprospective memory can be further proven the cognitive processing of prospective memory andadd the vacancies of―mood congruent effect" of prospective memory; in practice, can improve theeffectiveness of teaching and learning through emotion regulation and provide some inspiration.
