This paper analyses the theme, artistic expression and artistic achievement of Peter Jackson’s movies from two aspects of violence and the great wonders. The aesthetic value and artistic attraction of his movies will be investigated in depth by using the theory of psychology and filmology.In chapter one of this paper, Peter Jackson’s creation course has been overall commented on, and It’s divided into two parts--ult film, mainstream commercial film. The chapter two has focused on the ideological content of Jackson’s movies. It has been realized by discussing the rendering and evolution of violence element, the way of violence’s expression and the Universal emotion as well as humanistic reflection behind violence. In the chapter three, the artistic expression of his movies has been analyzed by the research of great wonders in depth in the movies. It will be elaborated in the figures of characters, the present for the scenes and the expression of image. In the last chapter of this paper, the analysis of Jackson’s movies will be related with the absorption and penetration from the culture of New Zealand. Moreover, the artistic achievement of his movies is discussed.In conclusion, this paper has investigated Peter Jackson’s movies in a specific angle. The question which has discussed is important to grasp the characteristic of his movies. This paper intends to get more in-depth achievement bases on the existing research.
