Depression has become a problem which can’t be neglected in Senior High School.Recently, the depression of Senior High School students in our country has alsoappeared an increasing trend. Effective depression intervention should be carried outamong Senior High School students so that smoothly studying and healthy grow-up canbe guaranteed, which is bound to be a problem to be solved urgently. However, therelated researches at home and abroad are so few. Therefore, according to this presentsituation, the research, which is based on the former experience and aimed at the mainperformance of the students, attempts to make a group intervention on the Senior HighSchool students’ depression, hoping to explore effective methods about groupintervention on their depression.The objects in this research are all from Grade One in No.2Senior High School,Chaoyang City, Liao Ning Province. By analyzing the measured data in the formerperiod, with the help of the cluster random sampling, the author intervenes in thedepression of the students on the tested group with the self-designed group interventionmethod. The intervention results are explained by the CES-D scale and SCL-90scale.The conclusions from this research are as follows:(1) The group intervention on Senior High School students is effective in the research.The depression level in the tested group has decreased apparently, which means thegroup intervention is effective. i.e. The designed group intervention method is ofgreatly practical value on intervening depression.(2) The depression level of the students in the tested group has decreased apparently.After the group intervention, the depression level of the students in the tested grouphas decreased apparently, which shows that the depression group interventioncarried out on the students in the tested group is effective.(3) The depression level of the students in the contrasted group has not decreasedapparently. The depression level of the students in the contrasted group, who arecontrolled by the experimental conditions and aren’t intervened and guided, has notdecreased apparently, which shows that the depression level of the Senior HighSchool students won’t soother naturally and disappears with time going by. Thepurpose of reducing the depression level of Senior High School students can beachieved by intervening.
