Pure elderlyfamily of the urban community figure out to a big number. Old people group is animportant part of orgnic integrated of society, who has to established close contactwith other groups of society by the values, that the economic value of affect industrialdevelopment, the family value of affect intergenerational relationship, the culturevalue of the ethical standards. However, the empty-nesters as vulnerable group insociety, it’s also a special group which has the poverty of economic benefits indistribution of social resources, the low-level of quality of life and vulnerability ofendurance. The problem of empty-nester in the economic, social and spiritual hasbeen gradually revealed, that impact on physical and mental health the elderly toenhance their quality of life. Affected by the relevant factors, it’s Difficult toempty-nesters through their own efforts out of the woods. Therefore, concern for thecommunity to support the construction and improvement should be broader.This article take Eight empty-nesters of the leigongling community of ShenzhenCity for object of study,Analysis of the main needs in the community tosupport,Through the literature, questionnaires, and interviews and other methods tocollect information,which based on the needs of empty nesters,Inspection from thethree dimensions of economic, life, the spirit of the empty nesters access to socialsupport status. the survey results indicated that, Empty-nesters have different levels ofdemand in three areas above. On the economic front, Only50%of the elderly saiddoes not exist on the economic problems,50%of the elderly stillTheir pension burdenfor the family considered their own source of income is limited. for their Life care, 25%of the life of the elderly can not take care of themselves,37.25%of the elderlyneed to accompany the care. For their Solace, although the questionnaire reflects theelderly are still relatively satisfied at this stage of life, But25%of the elderly oftenfeel empty and lonely. Almost all the elderly had a negative attitude about old age lifeFor special problems and low self-identity.For The actual situation and the special problems reflected From theempty-nesters in the survey, This paper attempts to propose a solution thinking toIntegration of relevant resources to improve the social support of empty-nesters, fromthe economic, social, spiritual, by referencing to social work practice universalprocess and borrowing some related theoretical study and work skills from the socialwork perspective. In terms of material economy, Social workers can start fromdirectly or indirectly to Strive for more material and financial security for elderly, bymeans of providing policy assistance for the elderly, take advantage of The resourcesof the community and Operate love projects; In terms of life care, Social workers canintervene in the elderly and other main caregivers to Improve the quality of life of theelderly, by means of enhancing their own ability to self-care and the care level of theircaregivers; In terms of solace, In order to meet the spiritual comfort needs of thecommunity of empty nesters, social workers can carry out case tracking andcommunity activities for their special problems of individuals or common needs ofelderly group.
