Last decade, China’s social work through government-led planning andconstruction of the development from the perspective of both professional andvocational reached a certain level in our local community, however, accompanied byrapid development, the quantity and quality of social work practitioners problems areincreasingly exposed. Through open interviews and questionnaires are two ways tosolve this problem, the author, a social worker as the starting point, the assumptionsand test counterparts in employment rates for students of social work and social workprofessional team of brain drain phenomenon.The social work profession itself existence and development of its practicalsignificance, this sense performance in the West, reflected in the social effects of thesocial work career. In our country, although social work relying on governmentgradually formed to adapt to China’s social needs of the professional and occupation,but was guided by the government of the social members top-down cognitiveprocesses, the development of social work in discomfort gradually manifest, formed aprofessional and occupation: the vicious spiral of social work majors counterparts thelow employment rate leads to social work practitioners insufficient quantity andservice quality is not high, occupation service quality and competitive power of on thelow side, leading to social work practitioners of social work occupation recognitioncaused by low and members of the community social work occupation andprofessional recognition, and social work students employment rate is low. In thisvicious cycle, social work, their competitiveness is falling sharply, become uselessmembers of society awareness of occupational and professional. For such phenomena and problems, I collect relevant supporting data through questionnaires and openinterviews with social workers, sorting the results based on the data analysis andinterviews from the survival level and the spiritual and cultural dimensions of socialwork is now faced with the specific issues analysis of induction, to further test theassumptions of the author: social work career is not optimistic, not only reflected inthe occupation within the security system is not perfect, and also reflected the careersystem and the recognition of the members of society generally low, which not onlycaused social brain drain of the work of professional teams, a direct result of thephenomenon of social work Education employment counterparts low, in the loweroccupational attractive at the same time reducing the competitiveness of the socialwork professional education. This profession and occupation status greatly restrict thedevelopment of social work.Relying on the assumption confirmed, I discussed from the economic level,cultural level, political level, and social management to face the social workprofessional and vocational problems faced Solutions: Based on the background ofthe development of social work, social work should be "from the inside out", to theenhancement of professional and vocational their competitiveness as the main way tochange the current situation of over-relying on the government’s upgrading throughvocational internal dynamics,social work can take the initiative to adapt to the needsof the community, to reach the positive interaction of the social work career and themembers of society, and thus to establish a good social work professional andvocational development mechanism, and gradually form independent and maturesocial work professional and vocational system.
