Central Asia is located in the transition zone of Asia and Europe, the specialgeographical location, known as the world hub ". After the collapse of the SovietUnion, the United States began to pay attention to this area. Since the beginning of thenew century, especially after the events of911, the United States starting from itsown strategic interests, advancing from the political, economic, and military strategyfor Central Asia, to become the new fulcrum of the United States to implement theirglobal strategy and the fight against terrorism in Central Asia Proving Ground, andexpanding the strategic oil interests in the region, and constantly improve and furtherpromote their own strategy for Central Asia. Implementation in Central Asia, theUnited States has been constrained from Russia and its neighboring countries. CentralAsia, terrorism, religious extremism and ethnic separatism it formed a challenge. U.S.promotion strategy for Central Asia, on the one hand, the fight against terrorism inCentral Asia, to reduce the terrorist threat facing western China, but on the other hand,caused a great threat to China’s strategic space and energy security, and threaten thesafety of China’s western frontier. To this end, China should take the appropriatemeasures to offset the negative impact of the U.S. strategy for Central Asia to China,in order to safeguard our national interests.This article discussed in four parts:The first part described both from a strategic position in Central Asia and thesituation in the region the international background of the U.S. strategy in CentralAsia since the beginning of the new century. Central Asia is in the heart of theEurasian continent, and storage of rich oil and gas resources of the United States inthe region has an important geopolitical interests and strategic oil resources interests.The second part of the detailed interpretation and analysis of the U.S. strategy forCentral Asia since the beginning of the new century. From the three aspects of thebasic objectives, strategic initiatives and constraint analysis and interpretation of thenew century, the U.S. strategy for Central Asia. From the security objectives of the United States in Central Asia, energy goals, social goals and geopolitical goalsQuartet aspects of analysis, elaborated from the political, economic, military andsocial aspects of the specific initiatives of the U.S. strategy in Central Asia, the last ofthe big countries of Central Asia and its surrounding factors constraints on the U.S.strategy in Central Asia. The third part of the analysis of the impact of the U.S.strategy for Central Asia to China in the new century. From the positive and negativeimpacts of the two aspects of analysis on China’s focus on the analysis of the negativeimpact. The U.S. strategy for Central Asia to China’s strategic security space beingsqueezed, constitute a threat to the energy security of our country, and the adverseimpact caused by the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and thegreat cause of reunification of our country. Part IV describes our relatedcountermeasures. Two levels from the domestic front and abroad regard to proposedspecific measures to better safeguard the national interests of our country. Chinashould adhere to the development, and enhance their overall national strength, whichis a fundamental measure to safeguard our national interests, another China’sdiplomatic work to do a good job, correctly handle the relationship with the UnitedStates and the Central Asian countries.
