The CUBA athletes is thecrucial strength of the competitive level of college basketball in China to a higher level, their age andlifestyle of college students and athletes experience and temperament, naturally, has a unique personalitytraits. In sports psychology, personality differences of the athletes and ordinary people, a lot of differentsports and the athletes individual differences, personality differences related to the different locations ofthe same sport athletes, the study of this issue theoretical and practical significance.In this study, the use of literature, questionnaires, data statistics, logical analysis,2011CUBAmale athletes of the national elimination round, each team, and related factors on the personalitycharacteristics of the different location of the basketball player investigation. Smart, full of ability and insight, and good at abstract thinking, learning ability,physical and mental state of health. Independent and active, doing things sophisticated, decency, will sitdown and analyze everything around, and holding fast to be responsible; In addition, it also has thefreedom of thought, not rigidly stick to the reality of the character traits, like to test existing theories andimplementation, and be a new assessment.(5)Insight into the personality characteristics of the the CUBA different location of the mainplayers, analysis of athletes’ psychological personality characteristics and performance capabilities, inorder to facilitate the coaches in training more scientific.Suggestions:(1)In the selection of basketball players, the coaches, according to the requirements of differentlocations on the athletes on the basis of other qualities have to select the appropriate personality traits inorder to improve the success rate of selection.(2) In addition to the athletes’ personality traits, sports management, but also understand thebasketball player in which the natural family environment, and sports experience, to elect the bestbasketball player.(3) Coaches in the daily training and competition for the role expectations of the differentpositions of the athletes, the appropriate and effective mental training and development, try to make a reasonable employer, the greatest potential to play the athlete personality.
