At present, the high school’s new curriculum reform has entered a critical andcomprehensive implementation stage, at this stage, the curriculum leadershipshows unique position and important role. To enhance principals’ curriculumleadership is the key to intensify the new curriculum reform, impact on students’effective learning, teachers’ professional growth, the school’s overall development.In the system of the three curriculum management, the state has given a realcurriculum autonomy to school, calling the principal from the curriculummanagement to curriculum leadership. In the process of curriculum reform, theprincipal shall establish a new curriculum ideas enhance professionalism in thecurriculum areas, play the role of curriculum leadership effectively. Therefore, theresearch of curriculum leadership promote the new curriculum reform. Based onthis, this study attempts starting from leadership, status of Hangzhou, Haining,Ningbo, Huzhou’s high school principals’ curriculum leadership survey, reveal theproblem, analyze the reasons, and explore feasible strategy to enhance principals’curriculum leadership, and hope that some inspiration to enhance the principal’scurriculum leadership, promote the high school’s new curriculum reform.On the basis of the key concepts,survey the high school principal’s curriculumleadership.The survey showed that on the one hand to play the principal’scurriculum leadership well: the principal can recognize the role of conversion,have the knowledge of curriculum leadership and became to aware the curriculumleadership is a professional conduct gradually.On the other hand, playing theprincipal curriculum leadership also exist many problems and difficulties: The lackof course accurate comprehension; The lack of curriculum organizationdevelopment; The lack of course steering execution; The missing monitoringassessment; The lack of course environment creation. The principals’ curriculum leadership exists many problems have the reason in both the social environment,education system, the selection and appointment mechanism, assessmentmechanisms, with the relevant principal’s own factors. On the basis of reasonanalysis, the studies have five strategies: Enhance learning reflection, to enhanceto understand the course accurately; To implement empowerment,to enhance thepower to develop curriculum; To achieve professional guidance to enhance theguidance and execution of curriculum; To establish the course team to improve themonitoring and assessment of curriculum; To create a harmonious atmosphere toenhance the force of creation to the course environment.In this paper, use documentary research, questionnaires, interviews and otherresearch methods, with the knowledge of the leadership, management, curriculumtheory, philosophy and other disciplines as the theoretical basis, try the best tointegrate the problems. Upgrading the principals ’curriculum leadership is anextremely long and complex systems engineering, is also a research trend for nowand future, hope more and more scholars join in this field for this research, to givea contribution to the enhancement of the principals’ curriculum leadership.
