With the continuous technological innovation and development, new mediaemerged and developed rapidly, mankind has entered an information age, therefore,media literacy has become a basic literacy that contemporary people must have. Sohow to improve the information era of the people especially the young people’s medialiteracy, increase their choice, understanding, questioning, assessment, and thecreation and utilization of capacity of media and media information, which hasbecome the most urgent task in today’s Times of basic education.In this paper, on the basis of the results of existing research at home and abroad,combing through media literacy education-related materials, and then combine themethods of research, trying to explore in line with China’s education system and highschool students physical and mental development characteristics of media literacyeducation and training countermeasures. Around this theme, this study was completedthe following five aspects:First, the study describes the background to the study of meaning, purpose andmethods.Second, combing the Development and Current Situation of the media literacyeducation at home and abroad, and explains the need for the implementation of medialiteracy education on the students.Third, combining the theory of media literacy education, to carry out an instanceof research. Derived by statistical software, statistical analysis of the questionnairesurvey results, the current situation of students’ media literacy.Fourth, according to the survey results come to the problems of the current highschool students media literacy current situation, and to analyze its causes.Fifth, on the basis of the problems of middle school students media literacycurrent situation and the reasons for the practical training strategy.Finally, the conclusion part of media literacy education up to Education for All,and emphasis on the necessity of the implementation of media literacy education onthe students, also described the limitations of this study. Although media literacyeducation in China is in its infancy, but we are confident, believe in the near future onthat we will surely achieve successful outcome.
