This issue is designed for the project of a telemetry logger, intending to design astorage device which can receive, process and storage a certain flight parameters during flightand can be recovered after landing.In this paper, the development status and the trends of the telemetry logger at home andabroad are researched firstly. After analysis of approaches to Ethernet implementations andthe choices of microcontrollers, the feasibility program is ultimately determined, according tothe characteristics of telemetry data and the other technical specifications. The program isdivided into three parts, including auxiliary equipment, interface board and memory board,according to the modular design concept. The auxiliary equipment is designed to providepower and signals which are from spacecraft; the interface board is used on receiver, cacheand code frame processing the telemetry data; the memory board is used to store the data andprovide high-speed reading interface to the interface board, and an alternate interface to thetest bed to read the data.A detailed introduction on the design of the hardware circuit and the logic design of thetelemetry logger is made in this paper. In addition, this paper was focused on the keytechnologies used in the design and the problems appearing in the debugging process and thesolutions consistent to them, including the reliability of the design of the command link, theliability design of Ethernet, unsuccessful configuration during the power-on process andsuccessful connection between two Ethernet equipments. At last, we set up a testplatform, and by analyzing of data obtained under various environmental experiments, wefinally verified the performance of the telemetry logger.The telemetry logger we designed achieved the function of receiving, processingand high-speed storing of the telemetry data, and had performed well in a variety ofenvironmental tests, illustrating its good reliability.
