Research And Development For The OPC UA Server’s Address Space And Device Integration Model Supporting EDDL Technology

To solve the deficiency of traditional OPC technology, the OPC foundation launched the cross-platform solutions which is called OPC UA specification based on service. It formulates a unified address space and information model, and has powerful data description ability. In this paper, based on the OPC UA specifications and EDDL specifications in IEC61804,a EDDL device integration information model which could be load to sever, a EDDL interpreter and nodes management functional unit are developed. In UA sever, nodes management functional unit receives the device information from the interpreter. It refers the predefined device integration information model, and creates the nodes. The solution takes the advantage of the EDDL technology, realizes the integration of different protocols type of equipment for upper client, and offers more abundant equipment information to solve the defects that traditional OPC can’t sufficiently and adequately describes the real time data.
