With the continuous growth of the rapid economic development and social demand for electricity, the power grid construction in China has gradually increased. The power grid investment estimates due to a wide range of influence factors and uncertainty. Therefor, it is a difficult problem in power grid planning departments to be solved. The power grid company need to calculate the grid investment accurately. Therefore, it is necessary to research a method of power grid investment.Based on gray correlation analysis, build up the index system of the investment calculation. Firstly, this paper analyzed the meaning of167post-evaluation grid construction indexes which is close related to the grid investment; Secondly, we studied several common gray relational analysis methods, using the Slope Correlation method; Finally, based on the analysis above, we established the grid investment index set.Based on the method of gray GM (1,1) model, this paper predicted various indicators measure the development of the next year, both the province and its subordinate cities, we study several common forecasting methods, and through simulation comparison of several methods to prove that based on GM (1,1) model approach to predict the index of power grid investment is more suitable.Based on gray GM (1, N) model,this paper established the grid investment calculation method. As grid investment was impact related with a number of indexes and the relationship is "gray",and there is a small amount of data, we establish grid investment calculation model based on the GM (1, N) model method. By the simulation experiments the accuracy of estimates with respect to the original method has been greatly improved.Base on the theoretical research above all, we designed and implemented a grid investment calculation software system. The system combines the theoretical research and practical application, provided large help to the company’s investment calculation.
