Rockfall was one of the geological disasters, have occurred frequently and wasserious consequences. Rockfall caused a huge impact on people’s lives and property inthe region of rockfall, seriously restricting the development of the national economy.Therefor, rockfall hazard risk assessment is very necessary and practical significance.At present, China’s rockfall disaster risk assessment study is very weak. The risk ofrockfall is the hazard of rockfall, the vulnerability of affected body and its value in thefunction.This paper from these aspects to explore the risk of hazard: hazard of rockfall,the vulnerability of affected body and its value.(1) Building rockfall hazard evaluation system. The rockfall hazard was determinedby the possibility of rockfall occured and that resulted bad consequence, both areindispensable. Come up with the sense that exploering the possibility place of rockfallto study the hazard of rockfall. Select evaluation factors affect the rockfall stop the plotlocation. Assessment index weights were calculated Based on the AHP-set pairanalysis. Through the identity difference opposition degree of association, it constructedthe probability assessment model of rockfall which stopped in each bearing disasterzoning. And according to the expectant probability for the stop position of rockfall todivide rockfall risk into five grades: extremely high risk, high risk, medium risk, lowrisk and extremely low risk. The hazard assessment of rockfall can effectively predictthe threat rockfall threat range and expected probability, provides guidance for disasterprevention and mitigation.(2) On the basis of classification of rockfall hazard bearing body, a method ofvulnerability assessment of rockfall bearing body was builded, and the direct economiclosses caused by drockfall was analysised.(3) A method of rockfall disaster risk calculation and management methods wereproposed. The rockfall hazard acceptable risk and tolerable risk criteria was explored.(4) Rockfall risk assessment model was tested by the rockfall in the west ofWanZhou ShouLi Mountain, tests shows that the model was feasinle. The purpose ofthis paper and the task is completed, and provide guidance for collapse disasterprevention and mitigation of disasters in China.
