In recent years,some parts of reservoir’s logging datas in WangJiagang area have weakdisplay characteristics,going against the recognition of oil and gas layers. Statistics show thatoil and gas layers with weak display exist commonly in other areas of Shengli Oil Field.However, this type of hydrocarbon reservoir is lack of systematic study over layerrecognition through logging data at present. Based on the logging information and analysis ofdistribution, this paper summarizes geological causes and other causes of the reservoir withweak logging response. With the help of the original logging evaluation technology, thispaper conducts experiments in the field of oil and gas detection within drilling fluid. Theresults show that nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), geochemical methods, quantitativefluorescence and thermal evaporation hydrocarbon logging technology could be appliedeffectively in the process of discovering and evaluating oil and gas layers with weak displaybased on the detection of drilling fluid. and can be used as an effective means of detection foroil and gas reservoir type、layer type and drilling complex conditions made different causes.In the light of oil and gas layers with weak logging response due to the type of reservoir andlayer, complicated construction situation, logging evaluation techniques for the specificlayers can be established by choosing optimization specific logging parameters in logging. Aslong as using new logging technology and method, emphasizing the different loggingtechnology series, layers with weak logging response can be discovered in time andevaluated accurately, which provide first-hand data for exploration production decisionmaker, guide the further discovery of oil&gas layers in the process of exploration anddevelopment.
