On-site investigations and detailed drilling data of Pingdingshan Coal Mine,comprehensive analysis the mineral composition of the coal-bearing strata, rock formationsand other causes of signs and the ancient geographical environment of coal deposition ofPingdingshan coal mine. Then overview the depositional environment of coal seam and coalbearing characteristics、 deposition system, on the basis of studying the Law of coal seam,analysising of the impact factors of the coal seam thickness, as well as a comprehensiveevaluation of the coefficient of variation of coal seam thickness,use the Principles of Geologyand state-of-the-art GIS technology to evaluate storage environment and mining conditions the state of thecoal seam.Studies have shown that Main Coal Seams of Pingdingshan coal mine are wu8and ding6two coal seams.Statisticing the100boreholes of wu8Coal Seam, including folder the Daganhole27holes,27%of which contains a layer of partings20holes,2layer of partings7holes,the partings’ thick is from0.05m to0.82m, generally less than0.30m, partingslithology mainly are carbonaceous shale or mudstone. In the vertical direction, partings bit mainlylocats in the lower part of the coal seams or in the upper part. In the transverse direction, eastern partis relatively simple, western part is relatively complex. The result of comprehensiveevaluation is that the structure of the coal seem is relatively simple seam, horizontal on theeastern coal thickness is relatively stable, west of change is relatively large, Point of about1mthick coal are mainly located in the western part of the coal mine. The coal seams distribute inthe eastern part of the deep part of the Ida, the thickness of the Coal is from1.3to3.98m, theaverage thickness is2.20m, from east to west the thickness of the coal Seam is deeper anddeeper. The coefficient of variation of Coal’thickness is37.47%,the Mining index is1.0, thebifurcation region is more stable in the entire coal seam,the structure of the Coal seam issimple, partial part with parting band is only1layer,the thickness is from0.05to0.40m,weevaluate comprehensively the existence’ conditions of the Coal seam within the scope of the coalfield by a state-of-the-art GIS technology, further demonstrate that the law of coal seam ofthe mine area, mode of occurrence, and occurrence conditions are more complex, theinfluence of Coal mining is very great.
