As the global temperature goes up and the earth movement aggravates, the extremeweather phenomenon occurs frequently, so the landslide becomes one of the biggest naturaldisasters. In order to reduce the threats that the landslide brings to people’s life and property,how to use effective methods to prevent the geological disaster is an important task in thescientific research. In the present, the monitoring system based on the ZigBee wireless sensornetwork is a hot topic in the field of preventing geological disaster and environmentalmonitoring. So the research and design based on the ZigBee landslide pre-warning system hassome practical meaning.We firstly analyse the characteristic and advantage of the wireless sensor technologybased on the ZigBee network structure and compare it with some other short distancecommunication modes. Based on this foundation, we make a detailed research for the ZigBeenetwork structure and agreement in order to make sure the network topology in the landslidepre-warning system. Then, we make a research for the character of the landslide and alsomake analysis and compare for multiple landslide prediction model in order to make sure theimportant factors of detecting landslide which provide theoretical basis for the choice of thesensor and the type of collecting data.Secondly, using the Zigbee technology to build the landslide monitoring network andproduce early warning is an emphasis in this paper. The whole metwork consists of three parts:the ZigBee topology network, the GPRS network and the wireless serial data network. Underthe development environment of the IAR Embedded Workbench for MCS-51, we chooseCC2530core control panel as the node’s processor module to collect and dispose data andchoose SIM300GPRS module to transmit data. Then the CC2530core control panel formsthe wireless serial port that constitutes the data sharing.In the end, we use the serial port debug tool to test each part of the landslide pre-warningsystem and use the QT software to form the display interface. It introduces the picture of thelandslide pre-warning system based on the Zigbee, the form of the hardware, the networkingprocess, the flow chart of the wireless serial port software design and the configuration ofsome related registers. It has a good reference value.
