It’sprovided some valuable information to look for new ore body,and prospecting targetareas.Through the study of the stratum, magmatic rock and geologic structure which isclosely related to the ore body, this paper summarized the geologic characteristics andmetallogenetic law of the fluorite deposit. It is concluded that Huayansi formationand Xiyangshan formation are the main hosting strata of fluorite, occasionally lies inYangliugang formation, middle-upper Cambrian. The wall rock is mainly carbonaterock, and the fluorite mineralization in shale formation rarely developed. The mainore-controlling structures are fractured contact zone of the rock mass, collapselocation of the stratum and fracture zone. F element, which is the main component offluorite, mainly came from granitic magma. Away from the granitic rock mass, themetallogenetic conditions becoming worse. The research shows that the formation ofGaowushan fluorite deposit experienced four stages: skarn metallogenic epochâ†'alkali metasomatism or greisenization metallogenic epochâ†'high-mesothermalmetallogenic epochâ†'mesothermal-epithermal metasomatic(accompanied byhydrothermal filling) metallogenic epoch. In order to enhance the ore prospectingefficiency and expand the exploratory field, the paper proposed some guidance notesin the following respects: geochemical anomaly, orebody distribution field, structuralfeature, alteration feature and geomorphology-soil feature.
