Metallogenetic Characteristics And Prospecting Direction Of Fluorite Deposits In Jiangle’s Changkou-Qingliu’s Yupeng Area, Western Fujian Province

The distribution area of fluorite dipsotes is large in Jiangle’s Changkou―Qingliu’sYupeng area and deposits and mine (mineralized) points are scattered like stars in the sky,which is undoubtedly important for summerizing the metallogenetic discipline and prospectingdirection of fluorite deposits in this area. Mineralization of flourite deposties is mainlyaffected by the NE-NNE trending faults, followed by the NW trending faults. Intrusive rocksclosely relaited with flourite mineralizaition in this area are mainly K-feldspar granites ofGuzhu super-unit in late Jurassic. Flourite ore bodies show vein or lenticular in general and thestrike is mainly NE and NNE direction, followed by NW direction. The length of flouritebodies is50-750meters along the strike, the depth is50-375meters along the dip, thethickness is0.5-58.59meters and ore bodies often exist the phenomenon of pinch reproduction.Types of ore are almost flourite type, quartz-flourite type and flourite-quartz type, most ofwhich are regular flourite. High-grade ore accountes for about40%of the total. Wallrocks nearthe ore tend to form strong silicificaiton, bringing about silicified rocks and silicified breccia.The more lenient fracture zone, the stronger the alteration, otherwise, the alteration is weak.The wallrock alteration produces a combination of low-medium temperature hydrothermalalteration and genetic types of Fluorite ore deposits (or points) are meso-epithermal fillingtyped deposits. Flourite ore bodies tend to be NE-NNE trending in zonal distribution andgranites often appear in the area where flourite ore distributes. According to the regionalore-forming geological background, ore-controlling conditions and metallogenic regularities,six prospecting areas are divided in the region, which are Jiangle Gaotang―Changkouprospecting area, Jiangle Sanyuan―Sanxi prospecting area, Mingxi Xiabian―QingliuTongkeng prospecting area, Mingxi Mashan―Qingliu Wulukeng prospecting area, QingliuQinxi―Yongan Yinkeng prospecting area and Mingxi Boheng prospecting area.
