Lightning activity often cause a significant change of the ground electric field.Ground electric field instrument is a by monitoring real-time changes in the groundelectric field, the charged cloud the status of activities, the monitoring equipment.Ground electric field instrument can measure the continuous change of the averageatmospheric electric field strength and polarity, and close lightning over the top of theatmospheric electric field is very sensitive, and therefore continuous monitoring oflightning in the charge of the electrostatic field on the ground and cloud flashes and theoccurrence of CG lightning monitoring and short-term warning of the game to lightning.However, the ground electric field instrument in real time reflect the status of activitiesof the local thundercloud, but the lack of intuitive, do not know the exact position oflightning, using only the ground electric field instrument data, will allow lightningwarning misstatements greatly increased. Very low frequency-low frequency (VLF-LF)lightning location system, through the measurement of the characteristics of lightningelectromagnetic pulse to determine the spatial location of the lightning, but no responsehas not happened yet lightning cloud, but also unable to detect lightning formation ofthe cloud the evolution of the record is less than Thundercloud early cloud flash. If theground field instrument detection information and Lightning Location Networksounding data integration, real-time monitoring and early warning of thunder andlightning, is a more realistic solution. Lightning location information in addition toreflect the lightning timing, location, real-time information, and disappearance ofthunder and lightning, the transitional law, lightning warning, nowcasting morepractical value.To carry out the needs of the lightning warning and forecast services for Hainan,based on of GIS ArcEngine component design set to achieve a lightning warning andforecast lightning location to receive and display real-time data of the atmosphericelectric field instrument, lightning spatial and attribute data region query and statistics,analysis of radar and lightning location data and display key technologies for researchand analysis of lightning disaster law, lightning warning and forecast services to buildthe basic application platform.
