Greenland is located in North America, bounded on the west by Canada and onthe esat by Norway, Denmark and other countries across the sea, metallogenicgeological condition and prospecting potential of which are superior and huge. Basingon previous studies, combining with a comprehensive analysis of the output ofmineral resources and typical deposits, using the latest theories of Deposit Geologyand Mineralization predictions, we have summarized and investigated themineralization type of dominant mineral and the prospecting directions and evaluatedthe protential of mineralization. The main results are following:(1) Greenland experienced3800Ma years of geological history evolution andformed7geological unites, which include Archena craton, southern GreenlandArchean-Proterozoic Ketilidian orogenic belt and Gadar magama provoince,Nagssugtoqidian orogenic belt, Rinkian Proterozoic orogenic belt in west Greenland,Caledonian orogenic belt in east Greenland, orogenic belt in north Greenland andPaleogene igneous activity area.(2).Greenland has complementary advantages or we can utilizing mine typesis Fe, Pb-Zn, REE, Au, Cu-Ni-PGE, Mo.(3). The rare earth ore deposit types are mainly alkaline rock type and carbonatetype, the iron deposit type is mainly BIF and magmatite, lead and zinc metallogenictype is SEDEX and MVT, gold depositmetallogenic type is greenstone type andorogenic type, the platinum group elements and nickel metallogenic type ismagmatite, the copper metallogenic is magmatite and sedimentary type, themolybdenum and tungsten metallogenic type is porphyry.(4). The distribution regulary in tectonic unit are firstly concentrated in theArchean craton and Ketilidian Paleoproterozoic orogenic belt, secondly in Paleozoicorogenic belt and Franklin early Paleozoic orogenic belt.In spatial distribution, thediposte mainly concentrated in the south Greenland and south section of westGreenland.(5). The metallogenic regularity in time distribution performance that BIF iron deposit greenstone gold deposit magmatite copper-nickel depositand metamorphicgemstone deposit mineralize in Archean, orogenic gold deposits alkaline rock typerate earth element deposit mainly mineralize in Proterozoic, SEDEX lead-zinc depositdeposition type of iron, vanadium titanium, phosphate deposit mainly mineralize inPaleozoic, magmatite type vanadium–titanium gold nickel and PGE deposit mainlymineralize in Cenozoic.(6). The rare earth element prospecting direction is alkaline rock type in sourthGreenland and carbonate type in sourth-west Greenland. The ore deposit prospectingdirection is BIF in west Greenland and magmatite type in northwest Greenland. Thelead-zinc deposit prospecting direction is SEDEX type in North Greenland. The golddeposit deposit prospecting direction is green stone type in west Greenland andorogenic type in sourth Greenland. The PGE and nickel deposit prospecting directionis basic-ultrabasic comples in east-west Greenland. The copper deposit prospectingdirection is sand stone type in all of basin. The molybdenum–tungsten depositprospecting direction is porphyry type in East-West Greenland.(7).Greenland is divided into21prospecting area, in which13A class and8Bclass.
