With the price crisis of traditional energy and environmental problemsbecome more and more serious, the development of new energy industry becomethe change trend of the world’s energy. Our country rapid develop new energyindustry, which has strategic significance for improve the energy structure.Geothermal resource is one of the new green energy, with low cost in the processof development and utilization, stable sustainable utilization and environmentalpollution and other unique advantages. Geothermal resources are rich in China, andwith great prospects of exploitation and utilization, therefore, with the pressures ofenvironmental and economic, and with the immeasurable advantage of geothermalresources, research of the geothermal resources evaluation has a highly significant.The paper is based on the research project of “1:200thousands integratedhydrological geological map compilation and study on spatial hydrogeologicalinformation system in Shanxi Xinzhou”, then evaluate the geothermal resourcesof Qicun in Shanxi Xinzhou, and the main work and results as following:1. Study on the geothermal geological condition and analysis the origin ofhydrothermal, geothermal migration concept model is established. The quaternarystrata of the geothermal field has stable clay layer which is about ten meters, whichis great cover of geothermal field. The Yunzhong mountain deep fracture in theeast of Qicun is the main source of groundwater and deep layer water. There aremany faults intersect located in Qicun, which format the channel of upwelling hotwater, then recharge the shallow aquifer in bedrock ridges, and format low mediumtemperature geothermal field.2. The scale of geothermal field, investigation and collection the exploitationof underground water, analysis the dynamic of underground hot water temperatureand depth. But as irrational exploitation, overall still show a downward trend.3. Analysis the water chemical characteristics of Qicun, and evaluate thequality of mineral water, start from the analysis of the mineral ion content,determination the type of underground hot water in Qicun geothermal field isCL-Na, PH is8.4, weakly alkaline. The main trace elements is Boric acid, whichhas gone the standard of named the hot mineral water, and the other trace elementscontent is not high, but has great medical value.4. Basing on the water level of the well points collected and the vertical control point extracted from the DEM graph, we establish the three dimensionalgeologic modeling of the geothermal field area using FEFLOW software, in orderto make preparation for subterranean heat simulation.5. We establish the three dimensional geologic modeling of the reservoir,calculate the volume accurately and evaluate the resource of the Qicun geothermalfield using the volumetric method preliminarily.6. Put forward reasonable proposals for exploitation and utilization thegeothermal field in Qicun.The research achievements of this paper reflects the size and distributioncharacteristics of the geothermal resources in research area, to provide scientificbasis for geothermal resources for the future mining.
