Dalian, a coastal hilly region, is high prone to geological disasters. With the develope ofsocial economy and city construction, A large number of engineering slope is formed withhuman engineering activities. The artificial geological disaster often happened there, whichcourse a serious threat to people’s life and property safety. In order to avoid and reduce thelandslide disaster losses, and to prevent and have control of geological disasters, it isimportant to study landslide characteristics and put forward effective monitoring method.As in this article, field investigation and exploration work is implemented to understandthe landslide destruction phenomenon and the engineering geological condition of landslide,and then study the basic characteristics of the landslide and failure mode. According to theprevious investigation and survey results, Landslide monitoring project is determined, themonitoring method and equipment is selected, and landslide monitoring scheme design isperformed. And then monitor the equipment layout with monitoring program design,including the surface displacement monitoring construction reference point and monitoringpoints, deep displacement monitoring hole drilling and exploratory trench construction, earlytesting and data collection. A variety of monitoring data collected were analyzed to researchthe current state of landslide. Combined with the stability of the results, the analysis of thestability of landslide were worked out. Finally, according to the landslide sliding mechanismto select the correct landslide control measures. Which is for the analysis of the landslide hasbeen stable state governance, the design and monitoring of landslide monitoring data analysisprogram governance.For the landslide in Cha’an Village, Dalian, carried out a dynamic displacementmonitoring in the survey and design phase, which effectively revealed the status andcharacteristics of landslide. To the survey of the landslide(stability evaluation) and the designof governance program provided a reliable theoretical basis. To the monitoring of the stablesituation after the governance, groundwater level changes, the forces of stabilizing piles andthe stability conditions provided a good understanding. Carrying out the monitoring workafter the treatment has a very important significance in the evaluation of the safety of landslide and insurance of dynamically adjust the design for the targeted landslide governanceThe results showed:1. Combined with previous findings, the monitoring program before the treatment ofcha’an village landslide was designed, the pre-monitoring project management wasdetermined, and specific requirements of each implementation of projects put forward.2. By comparing the results with the ground surface displacement monitoring and theresults of survey, the overall direction of the sliding and the overall plane features areaccurately determined.The overall sliding direction of landslide is170°~175°planar features of cha’an village landslide are: landslide was a "tongue" shape, trailingedge to the old landslide terrain at the upper hills of mutations, leading edge is arrived atWangjiadian reservoir. from the toe to the reservoir bank, the landslide is about630m, theleading edge of the widest500m, the central width of420m, the trailing edge width205m, therelative elevation of145m. so the area of about21104㎡. the trailing edge of new landslideis from the middle hills, leading edge is arrived at reservoir, the regional distribution oflandslide is about415m, the leading edge of the widest275m, the central width of180m, thetrailing edge width135m, the relative elevation of124m. so the area is approximately10.1104㎡3. It is under a sliding state before controlled. The depth of landslide surface and belt inthe middle and low part of landslide s main axis is16~38m, the new landslide s volume is300104m3, so it is a larger landslide.4. The displacement rate of landslide front is0.6~4.0mm/d. The front fast while themiddle and the back-end slow. It is a lapse formula landslide. That landslide in an unstablestate, the landslide is sliding forward as a slow speed, so the landslide governance isnecessary.5. The cha an village landslide after control is under a stable state through kinds ofmonitoring methods.
