The soft-switching inverter is one of the most widely used in the field of welding,and the digital control is a research hotspot in recent years. But the hard-switchingtechnology and analog control are widely used in most production enterprises. Thehard-switching is poor in reliability, switching losses, low efficiency and control modeinsufficient. With the development of microcontroller and digital signal processingtechnology, the traditional inverter with simulation technology exposed their own lacks incontrol, performance, integration, computing power, and real-time aspects. In order toovercome these shortcomings, the soft-switching technology and digital control weldingpower is researched and designed in this article to improve the welding performances.In this paper, the FB-ZVZCS full-bridge inverter circuit is used in the main circuit,the MSP430MCU is used in the function control, and the UC3846chip is used in thesoft-switch pulse width modulation circuit. A main circuit and a control circuit aredesigned, and the main circuit schematic, the main components of the calculation andselection and the pulse width circuit are analyzed.In order to improve the applicability and flexibility of the welding system, the systemis designed, debugged and applied to the MSP430MCU. And it obtains the goodwelding results.At last, according to the assemble, debug and welding test with the digitalsoft-switching IGBT inverter AC/DC pulse TIG welding, the ultra-forearm zero voltageturn-on and off, the arm-lag zero current turn-on and off are achieved within the full loadrange, and the good welding result is obtained.
