With the rapid development of modernization and science of technology, User’srequirements of are higher and higher, and the rolling mill vibration problem is one of theimportant factors that affect production and quality of the steel plate and strip, so thescholars at home and abroad has done a lot of research on rolling mill vibration. But mostof the study is rolling mill’s vertical vibration and torsional vibration, the vibrationcharacteristic along the horizontal direction of the rolling mill is ignored.In fact,horizontalvibration is widespread in the process of rolling in the strip rolling mill.It will causeserious damage to rolling mill equipment and effect the strip’s quality and normalproduction,so horizontal vibration should not be neglected in the field of rolling millvibration research direction.In this paper, considering the factors of the space between the work roll bearing seatand the memorial arch,the offset of work roll and backup roll,the linear stiffness andnonlinear damping from backup roll,After that the strip mill horizontal vibration model isestablished, then solve it and analysis various factors like the vibration frequency anddamping impact the rule of amplitude.Based on rolling theory and dynamics theory, establish the relationship modelbetween horizontal vibration and speed, tension, rolling force. Then analysis the rollhorizontal vibration impact the rolling speed of strip deformation area, the neutral pointposition and the before and after tensile stress, finally get the rolling process model withthe influence of the horizontal vibration.Based on finite element software ANSYS, model vibration of rolling mill has carriedon the analog simulation, calculates the natural frequency and principal mode of rollingmill horizontal vibration, then compared with the experimental data, proves thecorrectness of the model, analysis the rolling mill horizontal vibration characteristics inthe frequency domain.Based on model of the rolling mill horizontal vibration, simulate the rolling millhorizontal vibration with different parameters,then get the impact on the horizontal vibration due to changes of the parameters, as well as the horizontal vibration caused theneutral position of rolling deformation zone, before and after the strip tension stress andunit rolling force fluctuations, which may effect the precision of the strip shape.As a steel strip machine F2stand an object for the horizontal vibration testexperiment, clear up and analysis the experimental data, then observed the phenomenon:amplitude of horizontal vibration experienced a gradually expanding eventually leveledoff process, a certain range of frequency domain appeared larger vibration strength,different specifications of rolling productions have obviously different horizontal vibrationintensity.Experiment results and theoretical analysis show the correctness of the model ofhorizontal vibration.
