Oil is the blood of industry. The products based on oil as raw material are widelyused in national defense construction, industrial and agricultural production and people’slife. The demand of oil is growing. The mined crude oil from the underground exists asthe stable emulsion, including a certain amount of water and inorganic salts. Without aprocessing, gathering and refining crude oil will increase costs, and easily corrodeequipment in crude oil refining or cause rushed tower accident due to bumping. So afterthe exploitation of crude oil, emulsion breaking should be carry out to separate waterfrom oil.The demulsifiers for two kinds of representative crude oil in Hezhuangping andZichang of Northern Shaanxi are mainly studied in this thesis. Using different initiator asdemulsifiers heads, the series of EG, RS, TA, AR and AP demulsifiers are synthesis byinterpolymerization with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in an autoclave.Dehydration experiments have been done according to “SY/T5281-2000Bottle testmethod for the demulsification performance of crude oil demulsifiers”, then we choosedemulsifier agents of good performance. For improving the dehydration performance ofdemulsifier agents, AB, TEAC, DMA, DEA and CD have been synthesized, to combinewith the good demulsifier agents. We have done dehydration experiments to getformulations of combinational demulsifiers which have better performance.The experiment results show that temperature has a great influence on dehydrationperformance of demulsifiers in the synthesis process. The reaction temperature ofpropylene oxide is (130±5)℃. The reaction temperature of ethylene oxide is (120±5)℃.If the temperature is too high and too volatile, dehydration performance of demulsifierswill decline. In the series of EG demulsifiers, three and four block demulsifiers have best dehydration performance. In the series of RS16demulsifiers, three block demulsifiershave good dehydration performance. The dehydration of Zichang crude oil is moredifficult, because the salinity, dynamic viscosity and condensation point is higher. Thedehydration rate and dehydration speed of combinational demulsifiers of TA42to AB andAR42to AB is better than TA42or AR42, especially the dehydration speed has beengreatly improved. Compared to AR81610, the combinational demulsifiers of AR81610toAB increase dehydration performance significantly. The optimum proportion of TA4812to CD and AP442to CD is4:1.
