With the steel industry to increase the yield, the expansion of the scale, the higherproduction automation, the automation of the management, production safety, reliabilityrequirements, put forward higher requirements for network reliability, stability, andmonitoring system.The furnace is a very important equipment in the iron and steel production in theevent of a fault will cause a great impact on the production and equipment. This requiresstaff to timely discovery of failure, the HMI screen just to meet this demand. Remotemonitoring applications in the domestic steel plant has matured, and each steel millsnecessary. Wonderware’s InTouch software used to monitor, GE Fanuc IntelligentDevices iFIX, Siemens WinCC, GENESIS64, KingView. Which Genesis64is athree-dimensional configuration software. Relatively the Siemens WinCC interface thanWonderware’s InTouch interface appearance, the majority of domestic steel mills withWinCC.This paper introduces the research background, ring stove, iron and steelenterprises monitoring system profile; ring furnace process analysis, introduced the ringfurnace Project Overview and processes; ring furnace control system is divided into thebasic automation system and process computersystem in two parts, and theconfiguration of two parts; electrical and instrumentation control system is divided intotwo parts, the control strategy of the two parts of the analysis. Position monitoringsystem for the control system, the use of WINCC completed superior managementsystem, system operation and management functions, trend curve display function,alarm management, data report generation capabilities, system security managementfunctions. Demand for ring furnace, fault alarm reporting capabilities, the amount of theproduction process reporting capabilities.The project was completed in November2012commissioning, the basic design ofthe monitoring system to meet the functional requirements of the user, stability,reliability, also reached the needs of users. PC and Siemens transmission speed up tomonitor the implementation of the system requirements.
