Our country gravure printing machine has a later development. At the initial stage, we used toimitate foreign products. And general level of machinery and technology was very low.Themajority of cheap homebred gravure machine equipment is low-end. In order to meet the needsof the development of the enterprises, these enterprises are either to update their equipment or tohave an alteration for their equipment according to their requirements.This task comes from the alteration of a low-end homebred gravure machine product line inNanjing Tianya Wallpaper Limited Cooperation which I worked in. After years of usage, itsdesign speed and accuracy are so low that it used to occur that wallpapers are often cut off.According to this phenomenon, we propose a scheme for this alteration and this alteration issuccessfully carried out. The specific work includes several points below. The core control,tension control, is described in detail. During this description, the keystone of indirect tensioncontrol system is expounded. And it creates relevant mathematic models. After that, aiming atsegment of unreeling, dynamics analysis is laying foundations for subsequent scheme ofalteration. It introduces that the main faultiness from product line before alteration is from twosegments, unreeling and main transmission. And the paper investigates the tension control systemof magnetic powder brake in unreeling and the configuration of mechanical general axis in maintransmission. At the same time, it proposes the general scheme on this project. Next, it leadsfuzzy control to tension control strategy and adopts fuzzy adaptive control algorithm. Comparingroutine PID control algorithm with fuzzy adaptive control algorithm, it proves the latter is better.In unreeling, it is transformed into variable frequency speed regulation system based on PLC,adopting programmable logic controller for centralized control. It takes advantage of PLC tocommunicate with inverters by RS-485USS interface. In the element of tension control, fuzzyadaptive control algorithm is put into use. In main transmission, it dismantles original partswhich are to combine unreeling traction with main transmission and similar with rolling tractionin the mechanical general axis. It uses the inverter of main transmission to control two invertersof the unreeling and rolling tractions. The main traction is transformed into synchronoustransmission system controlled by three motors based on inverters. The result of alteration showsthat it overcomes the drawbacks of mechanical general axis structure and reduces unnecessarycosts.After the transformation, control accuracy and printing speed both promote accordingly. Itdecreases the phenomenon of drape and paper breaking and reduces the rejection rate. Thetransformed product line is put into use for the moment, achieving the prospective target.
