Currently, more steps ladder and long shaft parts have been widely used in machinery,transportation, architecture, hardware tools and other industries. Cross wedge rollingtechnology is a new technology, which of shaft parts forming with the development ofmanufacturing industry, and its application has been extended. Three-roll cross wedgerolling and hot charging is adopted for the forming principle of the conical slender shaft isstudied in this paper.Briefly discussed the principle of cross wedge rolling and basic theory of rigid-plastic, using the theory of synchronous rolling with multi-wedge cross wedge rolling(MCWR) and the equivalent wedge exhibition width conditions of three-roll cross wedgerolling to design the die, the feeding mode and the slot size.A prominent feature of thisaxis is unsymmetric, so axial force balance is an important guarantee for mould design androlling successfully. This paper gived a simulation to solid shaft, hollow shaft and the shaftcombined with bar and hollow sleeve by using the finite element software DEFORM.Studied the metal flow regularity of the conical slender shaft in the rolling process.Analyzed the distribution of stress and strain fields for the various stages in the formingprocess, the rolling internal material related to current velocity, as well as the stress andstrain continuous variation law with time of the feature points in the whole rolling process,have getted the influence law of process parameters for the rolling force parameters.Completion of the rolling conical slender shaft followed by air cooling simulationanalysis, simulation of cooling after rolling to prepare for axial pullout simulation of theconical slender shaft, had a simulation analysis for the bar and follow sleeve forming theconical slender shaft by hot charging, and had a axial drawing simulation for the conicalslender shaft formed by the two methods, the result of two methods to get the slenderconical shaft all can meet the engineering requirements.
