H-beam has an economic and reasonable cross section, with good anti-bending,resist compressive and antitorque mechanical property; with simple and convenient offabrication, construction and installation process and so on. So H-beam becomes animportant part of efficient-saving steel construction. The H-beam is recognized, acceptedand advocated by variety people of industry. Therefore, H-beam has very broadapplication prospects.The process of H-beam tandem rolling is dependent on universal mill and edgingmill combined with each other to achieve. H-beam is a problem of geometry, material andboundary three nonlinear problems. The interaction of Webs and flange make the processof H-beam rolling more complex. The temperature and other factors make the analysis ofrolling deformation more difficulty. So many people have simulated study on H-beam,but the process of H-beam tandem rolling numerical simulation is very few. Therefore, astimulation of process of H-beam tandem rolling through large-scale finite elementsoftware ANSYS/LS-DYNA and thermo mechanical coupling large deformationsimulation method was studied. The simulation parameters have been establisheddepending on the conditions, process parameters of the West iron and Steel CompanyLimited on-site rolling.The H-beam rolling process of Numerical simulation is reproduced in a virtualenvironment, using heat-coupled large deformation Numerical simulation to stimulate theprocess of9pass H-beam mill. The rolling rules come from the small H-beam tandemrolling Production line of Jinxi the iron and steel limited company through the simulationanalysis of the stress, strain distribution pattern and metal flow in the stable parts in theprocess of hot-rolling H-beam deformation. At the same time of simulation studies, a lotof experimental researches have been conducted on the standalone framework universalmill in the Hebei United University laboratory and a large amount of experimental datahave been obtained. The accuracy of the simulation method has been proved throughcomparison of single-frame simulation and experimental results. Through the simulationanalysis of H-beam, the features of H-beam of Deformation, metal circulation patterns,the stress-strain distribution of Webs and flange and so on can be mastered, which has supplied referential statistics for the actual production of H-beam’s rolling technology,the reasonable formulated the press rules, improving the quality of products. Thesimulation methods have laid the foundation for numerical simulation of the H-beamproduction for the whole journey.
