Enter the 21st centuries, High-speed railway promptly becomes the most important mean of transport of the word. In order to meet the demands of the world's growing population and fast developing economies, the developmental tendency of the world's railway assumes high speed and heavy haulage. At present, our country is speeding up the process of the high-speed railways, although the speed of train has been raised several times, absolute velocity unable to achieve the level of the advanced countries. Dimensional accuracy, capability and strength of the rail were the important elements which restricted the speed of rail.Finite element analysis technology is a Numerical Simulation which Along with the rapid development of Computer Technology and Computation Method, it's a powerful tool to analyze plastic working process of metals and forecast final effect of a technology. Adopting Finite element method to simulation rolling process, we can In-depth study Deformation Law of rolling process and make up for lack of experiments, further improved research method of High-precision heavy rail.Genetic Algorithm (GA), which simulates natural evolution procedure and mechanism developed in recent years, is self-organizing and self-adapting artificial intelligence technology. The technology bases on Darwinian natural selection and Mendelian genetics. The basic thought of solving optimization problem with GA is as follows. Firstly, the objective function of optimization is interpreted as the capability to environment for biotic-population, and the optimizing variable is corresponded with the individuals of biotic-population. Secondly, the current population is changed to a new one by suitable operation of duplication, hybridization, dissociation and selection. Thirdly, the procedure is duplicated until the fitting population is obtained. In this paper, Universal Rolling Schedule of the 60 kg/m heavy rail has been optimal designed by using Genetic Algorithm Toolbox in Matlab and Penalty Function Method, adopting Non-linear finite element software—MARC combined 3D modeling software─Pro/E, established finite element calculating model of Rail Universal Rolling and carried out a coupled thermal—stress simulation calculation of Universal Tandem Rolling Process of 60 kg/m heavy rail.
