The tension of arc stud welding power source of the research present situation isanalyzed in this paper, Aiming at solving the problems of the existing weldingmachine that are the main welding current rises slowly, main power transformer no-load loss is big, main power transformer transient load rate is low and welding processparameter is incomplete, the power of the main power circuit, the control circuit andthe protection circuit are designed and the welding technological parameters databaseis established. In addition, the design of both hardware and software is improvedthrough a large number of experiments. This paper’s research content mainly includesthe following four points:(1) The main power of three-phase full bridge controlled rectifier circuit is setand the control circuit based on infineon16-bit microcontroller XC164CS is designed.Meanwhile, over current protection circuit and lose phase detection circuit aredesigned;(2) The control circuit designed in this paper can be effectively carried out on themain power circuit protection and sequential control. The parameters of PI arithmeticcircuit is set to improve the dynamic characteristics of the system and solve theproblem that the welding of the main current rises slowly;(3) The three-phase380v main power transformer is designed in this paper tosolve the problems that the no-load loss is big and the temporary load rate is low inthe existing welding machine;(4) The perfect welding process parameter structured storage is establishedthrough the experiment. Both the welding quality and welding efficiency areimproved.Experiments show that the arc stud welding power source developed in thispaper can be stable on the stud welding and is better than the same welding powersource in China. It has a very good and reliable performance and can meet the needsof industrial applications.
