Therefore, the smelting process control of ferroalloy of electric arc furnace receivedextensively attention by researchers.Once the electric arc furnace smelting products want to be competitive in the worldmarket, it must do the maximum possible to improve product quality and reduce energyconsumption. Nowadays, the process control technology of electric arc furnace develops fromthe conventional basic automation and general monitoring function to the artificialintelligence, expert system and management optimization direction. There is a wide gapcompared China ’s electric arc furnace control technology with the international advancedtechnology, it is difficult to achieve relying solely on conventional control strategy, it mustuse the advanced control technology.On the basis of the analysis of characteristics of the electric arc furnace smelting processand control issues, take the electric arc furnace electrode control as the main line to make adiscussion. The Intelligent Electrode Control System of Electric Arc Furnace uses acombination of fuzzy control and proportional plus derivative control, Designed by the speednegative feedback inner ring and the location negative feedback outer ring to constitute theinner and outer double-loop control system, and combined with the vanadium iron smeltingprocess requirements, to achieve self-adjustment of the scale factor Kp by the fuzzycontroller, In order to solve the melting of the vanadium iron-esp smelting process, The arcdischarge gap changes frequently, resulting in the problem of the arc deviates from thenormal working state, which lead to the changes in the input power affect the efficiency andquality of the vanadium iron smelting, The research of the control system is to solve aboveproblems, to improve the control level of the electric arc furnace in the whole vanadium ironsmelting process, and to suppress the fluctuations of the yield and quality due to thedifference operating level by smelter workers. At the same time, reduce labor intensity,improve economic and social benefits, reduce smelting energy consumption and improve thequality of smelting products.
