Due to the tank of steel structure and tank area environmentfactors, tank is very vulnerable to corrosion,so,tank surface anti-corrosion coatingpreparation has become an important topic. The zinc coating pigment involveflake zinc powder and ball zinc powder,Compared Flake zinc powder with ball zincpowder,Flake zinc coating has excellent shielding effect, good electrochemicalprotection, Excellent settling performance and Only a third of the ball zinc powderdosage, has been widely studied in recent years.Water-borne inorganic zinc-rich coating has zero VOC emissions. It is akind of environmental friendly coatings. Scientist Put in a great deal of energyon Flake zinc coating. But compared flake zinc powder with ball zinc powder,flake zinc powder has some shortcomings, Such as, dry for a longer period oftime, electrochemical polarization rate big, etc.so, It hasgreat significance for oil tanksteel material corrosion that Preparation of hybrid water-borne inorganic zinc-richcoating by Flake zinc powder to add a certain proportion of globular zinc powder.First, this paper study the different company production of silica sol and differentadditives to Preparation of modulus ratio of5:1of potassium silicate effect, andchange the temperature、pH、stirring rate、Additive species、methyltrimethoxysilanedosage to test effect. Finally determined the optimal composition is50℃、3500rpm、6%methyltrimethoxysilane、pH=11.0.Second, The system of high modulus potassium silicate solution mixed withFlake zinc powder get Flake inorganic zinc-rich coating. The coating again to add acertain proportion of globular zinc powder,get hybrid water-borne inorganiczinc-rich coating. Explore the different zinc powder content Zinc coating film properties, film forming time and coating corrosion resistance.We prove that the flakezinc powder to add ball zinc powder, coating performance is more outstanding.Then through the routine test, salt fog experiment, acid-proof alkaline,resistant to salt water, water resistance, heat resistance, resistance to organicsolvent, etc of the hybrid waterborne inorganic zinc-rich coating film performanceresearch.Final performance hybrid water-borne inorganic zinc-rich coating of zincpowder proportion is flake zinc powder40%, globular zinc powder10%.
