Waterborne inorganic silicate zinc rich coating is a new kind of environmental protection anticorrosive coating,there is no organic component in the system and no organic volatile substance will be produced during the curing process.Because of its excellent corrosion resistance,weather resistance,solvent resistance and self-repairing properties of the coating film,etc.,it has been widely used in the field of anticorrosion.However,this kind of coating also has defects such as easy gel of base solution,poor film-forming property and porosity of coating.In order to further improve the anticorrosive performance of inorganic zinc-rich coatings,the main contents of this paper are as follows:1)It was found that the optimal reaction temperature and reaction time for the preparation of high potassium silicate solution were 70? and 8 hours,and the initial reaction concentration of potassium silicate was 25wt%.When the molar ratio is 5,zinc-rich coating has better anti-corrosion performance.The content of zinc powder is related to the anticorrosion performance of zinc-rich coating.The experimental results showed that the water-based inorganic zinc rich coating has better corrosion resistance when the content of zinc powder is 83.3wt%.2)The anticorrosion properties of different kinds of organic emulsion modified potassium silicate zinc-rich coatings were investigated.The experimental results showed that 5wt% styrene-acrylic emulsion,30wt% pure acrylic emulsion and 10wt% silicon-acrylic emulsion have better anticorrosion performance respectively.By comparing the modified coatings of different kinds of organic emulsions with commercial coatings,the experimental results show that the zinc-rich coating containing 10wt% silicon-acrylic emulsion has the best anticorrosion performance and the corrosion resistance of it is similar to that of commercial coatings.3)The electrochemical anticorrosive effect of the coating can be effectively improved by adding carbon material to the zinc-rich coating.Compared with TrG,CB and MWCNTs,the layered structure of TrG plays a synergistic shielding and protection role in anti-corrosion performance,resulting in better protection effect.The results showed that the amount of zinc powder can be reduced by adding a small amount of carbon material.It has similar electrochemical response with coating containing more zinc powder,and has better anticorrosive performance.The addition of TrG not only improves the anti-corrosion performance,but also reduces the production cost of zinc-rich coatings.
