The radar absorbing technologies as an important means to improve the survivaland penetration ability of weapons systems, and improve overall operational efficiencyattaches great importance by the military power. Because of light weight and highstrength, hexagonal honeycomb structure have been widely used as a sandwich structure. The combination of stealth technology with honeycomb structure, can form the dualfunction of both carrying and absorbing microwave, therefore was concerned by thefields of aviation, aerospace. To obtain the best microwave absorbing properties of the experiments andcalculating the electromagnetic parameters is cumbersome and time-consuming.Modern computer instead of artificial experiments is imperative and can get betterresults. At this point, there are a variety of numerical algorithms used in honeycombsandwich structures, such as the method of moments, finite difference time domainmethod, finite element method, etc. In this thesis, formula of the effectiveelectromagnetic parameters of the honeycomb structure absorbing materials is derived.Variation of the equivalent permittivity and permeability, and the reflective properties ofthe honeycomb structure absorbing materials is studied. The main content is:1. A method called "homogenization" used in the analysis of the honeycombcomplex structures of electromagnetic field problems. Electromagnetic parameters isequivalent to the form of keratosis tensor. Range of effective electromagneticparameters of cellular absorbing materials is derived.2. The honeycomb structure analysis and modeling the radar absorbing structure.Approximate formula of the electromagnetic parameters is derived under the guidanceof strong perturbation and the reflection coefficient theory. These expressions can beused to efficiently calculate the equivalent permittivity, the equivalent permeability andthe reflection coefficient of honeycomb materials with periodic structures of geometries.3. Establishing MFC interface by Visual C++. Filling in related data to calculatethe electromagnetic parameters and reflectivity of the radar absorbing honeycombstructure. The results show that the equivalent permittivity and permeability of honeycomb-structure are smaller than those of the coating material. For the honeycombmaterial of different thickness of the absorbing layer, there exists an optimum thicknessof the coating, so that the overall reflectance of the absorbent layer minimum. Theseresults are of some significance for the design of the honeycomb structures.Calculated data are compared with real experimental data. The calculated result isbasically accurate and consistent with experimental data. Derivation formula of the texthas practical engineering value. The calculated data can provide a reference ofdesigning absorbing honeycomb material and absorbing performance optimization.
