Mine hoist is of great importance in mine production, it’s responsible for upgrading ore, transporting the materials and personnel. Mine hoist and its ancillary control equipments are extremely complex combination of mechanical and electrical devices. Mine hoist runs in high-speed between the surface and down hole, once any failure happens, it will lead to damage to the equipments, affecting the security of the entire mine production, may also cause serious casualties, which put forward higher requirements of the entire system of the mine hoist, so high productivity and efficiency, high security and reliability, all-digital integrated automation have become the development direction of the mine hoist.At present, most of mine hoist control systems used in Shanxi are used for a long period, can not be carried out to enhance the process of real-time monitoring and fault warning. The system adjusts speed by connecting resistors in series to rotor circuits; this lead to fragile control circuits and electrical equipments, ambient noise, higher maintenance costs, excessive energy consumption and the speed performance is also limited. AC inverter with programmable logic controller lifter system, with its excellent speed and power-saving features are gradually replacing the motor speed control system of rotor resistance.This paper innovated the hoist control system of a coal mine in Changzhi, completed the design of hardware and software and analysed the energy-saving effect of frequency control.Hoist control system with two sets of Siemens S7-300series PLC, set the soft and hard two sets of security loop, to improve the safety performance of the system. Safety circuit has lots of security protection, including the command zero, tight brake, the pressure loss of the main power, tripping, up and down the volume, etc. Using ladder programming software, easy to understand and learning. Detecting system parameters uses hall elements, pressure transmitter, rotary encoder, limit switch and magnetic proximity switch sensor. Perception of the operational status of the system in real time, feedback the operating parameters and fault signal to PLC timely, adjusting control strategy and warning the error.Host computer uses the WinCC configuration monitoring software, real-time monitoring of the operation of the hoist well bore, and screen vivid visual effect is good. Select the Swedish ABB’s ACS800series frequency counters in transmission part, which uses the Direct Torque Control (DTC) technology, has excellent speed and torque control characteristics, complete protection functions and flexible programming capabilities.After transformation, the hoist control system becomes simple, and reliable, the speed effect and production efficiency are improved.
