Create mathematical model of three transmission mechanisms which can becommonly used in servo press, based on these models, use ADAMS software to analyzethe kinematical and dynamic characteristic of the mechanisms. During the process ofcomparison, although triangular-link transmission mechanism has advantage on therunning speed of the block, the dynamic performance of it is not remarkable and evencannot satisfy the demands of plastic processing, it requires to be optimized.Traditional optimization method is just aimed at certain process and has a lowerefficiency of optimization, it cannot meet the needs of modern manufacturing. This papercreatively proposes a new method which is aimed at various process when doing theoptimization, it sets up with different objective functions when optimizing.When creating the objective functions, the use of the measure of the block pressurecan be flexible. Set the maximum, minimum and average of it as the objective functionsof blanking, bending and drawing respectively and build the constraints of eachmechanism.Parametrically remodeling the optimized mechanism and compare its kinematicaland dynamic performance with direct-link mechanism, crank-link mechanism andtriangular-link mechanism which is not optimized, the findings are as follows:1. The triangular-link mechanism which is optimized to suit the demand of blankingprocess can make the input pressure be magnify to210times at the bottom dead center aswell as reduce the load of the servo motor, as a result, making the selection of servomotor more flexible.2. The triangular-link mechanism which is optimized to suit the demand of bendingprocess can make the block output the pressure at the same level when it has a distanceof80with bottom dead center, it can also magnify the pressure of input at50times when it come to the bottom dead center, however, the running speed of the mechanism will beslow down as a cost.3. The triangular-link mechanism which is optimized to suit the demand of drawingprocess can make the mechanism output a steady high level of pressure during a longerdistance, it can be very good for drawing process, meanwhile, the mechanism can alsopossess the characteristic of high speed during the non-cutting stroke and graduallyreduction of running speed when getting close with the parts.Based on the existing results of optimization, analyzes the flexibility and advantageto other process. At the same time, figure out the rated torque and maximum torque ofservo motor, providing references of the selection of servo motor.
