Gecko’s pad micro-nano scale setae and precise control from gecko’s pad movement contri-bute to gecko’s leap onto roofs and over walls. In order to realize effective control and tunableadhesion of the gecko-inspired robots feet, this paper proposed that modified the platinum elec-trode by carbon nanotubes and graphene which conductivity is excellent and relatively cheap, soas to reduce the production cost and improve the IPMC electro-mechanical performance. In thispaper the adhesion of Poly(dimethylsiloxane) was studied. The main research content is summa-rized as follows:Low-dimensional nanometer carbon materials were used to modify the Pt electrode of IPMC.The electrodes were made by the electrophoretic deposition (EPD) method from a methanol sus-pension of Poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)-modified CNT or GS. The results of SEManalysis on the specimens show that the CNT electrodes are relatively flat and uniform, and thebonding between CNT and Pt is firm. The results of the electromechanical property tests show thatthe CNT based IPMC actuator has a better electro-active bending deformation capability, and themaximum displacement is13.90mm, and the maximum blocking force is15.72mN, respectively94%and77%comparing with that of the Pt based IPMC, and the production was reduced90%.Poly(dimethylsiloxane) components and properties were researched, the sample of the ratioof PMHS and PMVS are detected by ATR-FTIR, calculation the Si-H content, and the maxi cohe-sion force were tested by UMT. The maxi normal forces are1.46,4.11,4.73,5.36mN, and themaximum shear forces are19.89,29.06,33.69,38.14mN, respectively. The test results of me-chanical properties show that the tensile strength and the modules of elasticity of the sample (1:10)are26.87and3.1MPaPorous silicon of crystal silicon are prepared as templates by electrochemical etching, PDMSwere used to cast gecko inspired micro-nano array. It makes PMHS interspersed into PDMS byusing the swelling property of PDMS in THF. Then hydrosilylation reaction is conducted respec-tively among vinyl PEG and vinyl PTFE with active Si-H, catalyzed by Pt Catalyst. Attenuatedtotal reflectance-fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy was used to monitor theentire process. The maxi normal force is8.77, and the maxi shear force is24.59mN, respectively.The maxi water contact angel is129.1°.
