This paper focuses on the circular knitting machine and discusses the traditional needleselection technology and then put forward the idea of "using electric instead of machine".Then it investigates the hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving needles theory thatintroduces the magnetic levitation technology into the knitting machinery. It achieves thenon-contact and frictionless transmission that the traditional needle selector can never doeswithout changing the knitting technology.At the same time this paper researches the model of the hybrid magnetic levitationsystem and discusses the dynamic model of hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving needlesbased on the traditional needle selection technology. Then it built the mathematical model ofthe hybrid magnetic levitation system and obtains its dynamic model equation. After there italso analyses the stability, controllability and observability of the system that provide thetheoretical principle for the follow-up design of the system based on MATLAB.This paper analyses the diagram of the hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving needlessystem, and the design of the hardware for the hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving asingle needle control system. Based on the hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving a singleneedle control system we discuss the hybrid magnetic levitation type of driving multipleneedles control system, including the trajectories of needles and the hardware and interfacedesigning of the multiple needles control system. At the same time this paper talks about theexperiments of both the single needle and multiple needles control system combine thetheoretical model with experiment and then analyses the experimental data and experimentalresults. At last we find out that the experimental results are broadly in line with the theoreticalmodel, and the error rate is under control. The experiment verify the feasibility of using thehybrid magnetic levitation technology to drive needles in the small space, and provide thefeasible reference for the practical researching of the circular knitting machine.At the same time the paper also talks about the structure composition of the hybridmagnetic levitation type of driving needles system whose performance requirements that we refer to choose the parameters of its key component. And those parameters are the support ofthe mathematical model and the follow-up experiments.
