During the process of oil and gas production, the problem of well deflection not only hasrestricted the period of exploration and development, but also has negative influence in nationaleconomic development. Automatic vertical drilling tool is a kind of drilling tool under control byclosed-loop system which can correct well deflection automatically and maintain the drillinghole vertically. One of the most important key components of the automatic vertical drilling toolis the Hydraulic control steering mechanisms, which is demanded of upper performances, andcharged with the task to provide guid concentrated forces near the bit.It collected the abroad literature information about the development of vertical drillingtechnology and several commercialized automatic vertical drilling systems, introduced thestructure, function and application of three automatic vertical drilling systems which have bettereffects. At the same time, it analyzed the domestic research, development and experimental. Andit introduced the working principle and structures of the self-developed automatic verticaldrilling tool.It educed the mathematic model of the hydraulic control steering mechanisms through thetheoretical analysis. Built the simulation model by the AMESim software under actual workconditions for them, And then using the hydraulic test platform to research on the hydrauliccontrol steering mechanisms. Comparing the result of simulation and experiment, the conclusionof simulation is consistent with the experiment result, which prove the correctly and reliability ofthe simulation model. On the basis of this model, do some research on flat valve type radialpiston pump, the results show that the clearance volume, valve quality, valve spring stiffness,contour curves of pump and environmental pressure have effect on the performance of the flatvalve type radial piston pump. And it made some Parameter optimization which is instructive topractical work in the system.
