Air splicer is the core component of automatic winder and whether its technology matures relates directly to the quality of the yarn and cloth cover. Both at home and abroad, the research on air splicer’s theory is only few and also immature. Therefore, with Qingdao Hongda Textile Machinery Co., Ltd, our research group carried out the theoretical analysis and research on air splicer’s key mechanisms.Based on the air splicer’s developing situation and aimed at its technological problems, this article did a lot of work in analyzing and researching the air splicer’s core components and the flow field in its cavity, as well as optimizing the air splicer. The following achievement is what we have been focusing on.1Analyzed the splicing principle of air splicer. By calculating the air splicer’s principle from mathematic point, we got the function of yarn,. which laid the theoretical foundation of splicing the yarn.2Take the air splicer’s core components for example:Established three dimensional solid models in Pro/E and made calculations of its strength and rigidity with the finite-element analysis software ANSYS Workbench. Focused the finite-element analysis on cam, connecting rod, splicer and the important components. After getting deformation, stress nephogram,,intrinsic frequency, we put forward methods for its improvement. This provided important practicing and guiding significance in air splicers’ optimized design.3On the basis of the mathematical model of air splicer’s flow field, by using Fluent module of the software ANSYS Workbench, doing concrete research on the shape of its cavity、 the angle of air vent and the pressure of air vent, got pretty ideal splicing conditions. That afforded reference for the air splicer’s adjustment.4Based on the early chapters, we got ideal air splicer parameters by optimizing analysis using optimizer in ANSYS Workbench. This had a theoretical guiding significance for designing air splicers.
