In recent years, China’s dairy industry has rapid development, accompanied dairy wastewater pollution problems.The dairy wastewater has several characteristics, such as water quality and quantity changes over time, the high organic content, easy to biochemical degradation; better biodegradability and so on.This paper is dairy wastewater treatment engineering design, the design scale of this project is5000m3/d, the discharge water meets the class I of the national wastewater discharge standard (GB8978-96) after treatment, according to the water quality and the requirements of the effluents, through scheme comparison, the sewage treatment process is the conventional physical chemical process and biological treatment (air floating+hydrolytic acidulation+biological contact oxidation), combined with commonly used process of dairy wastewater treatment at home and abroad. Sludge disposal scheme is gravity concentration and mechanical dewatering.The contents of this paper are as follows:First, comparison and selection of sewage and sludge treatment process was discussed.Second, the process is designed and calculated of sewage and sludge treatment structures and ancillary buildings.Third, according to the arrangement principles and requirements of the sewage treatment plant, act has carried on general drawing layout and elevation layout. Forth, the main structures of the plan and section are drawing. Fifth, project investment estimation and operation cost analysis were discussed in this paper.This treatment process has a lot of advantages, such as:simple process, good treating effect, low running costs, easy to management, less occupied area, less investment and cost saving, etc. so it has important practical significance and value of popularization.The dairy wastewater discharges after treatment compliance, which is beneficial to reduce the pollution of the water environment and which is beneficial to the sustainable development of urban economy.
