Traditional refractory fiber will hurt the health of human beings because the fiber is notdissolved easily in human body, and the fiber floating in the air will be caused certainenvironmental pollution. Therefore, people begin to research and develop biological solublerefractory fiber which can satisfy the use demands and have excellent bio-solubility.In general, the applicable temperature of biological soluble refractory fiber is lower thanthat of the traditional refractory fiber. As a consequence, under the premise of guaranteeing thebio-solubility of biological soluble refractory fiber, in order to improve the applicabletemperature of biological soluble refractory fiber, the influence of BaO and SrO oncrystallization behavior and solubility of refractory fiber have been investigated in the paper. The main research results were as follows:(1)The addition of BaO and SrO can restrain the crystallization of the CaO-SiO2ceramicfiber to a certain extent, however, the types of precipitated crystalline phases are not changed. The fibers of CaO-SiO2system show high bio-solubility in the Gamble solution, and the effect ofthe addition of BaO and SrO on the bio-soluble properties of the fibers is hardly noticeable.(2)The fiber with higher BaO contents is relatively easy to crystallization; The fibers haveoutstanding bio-solubility in the Gamble solution.(3)With the content of SrO increasing in the composition of fibers, the crystallizationtemperature of fibers will be increased, while the types of precipitated crystalline phases are notchanged; The fibers have still splendid bio-solubility in the Gamble solution, and the solubilityof fibers will be followed an increasing trend.(4)The initial crystallization temperature and the crystallization peak temperature of fiberswith the additions of BaO and SrO are lower than the fibers with a single additive, however, thetypes of precipitated crystalline phases are the same. The fibers showed excellent bio-solubilityin the Gamble solution, the solubility of fibers with the additions of BaO and SrO become worsethan the fibers with a single additive.
